With GW31 and the blanks behind us, we build a squad based on WC available with the assumption of entering GW34 with a BB and trying to maximize the DGW’s. Consensus (for those will all chips available) is forming around WC in 32 -> BB in 34 -> FH in 35 -> TC in 37.
Teams that play [B35+D37]
Arsenal [NEW]35 [BUR + lei]37
Man City [SWA]35 [bha + whm]37
Newcastle [eve]35 [wat + tot]37
Swansea [mci]35 [bou + SOT]37
West Ham [ars]35 [lei + MUN]37
Of this group, options worth considering are: ARS – Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Cech, Mustafi, Ramsey, BUR – Lowton, Wood, Barnes, Gudmundsson, MCI – Everyone but mainly Aguero (pending), Sterling, Silva, Sane, De Bruyne, Walker, Ederson, NEW – Dummett, Gayle, SWA – Ayew, WHM – Lanzini. Arnautovic
Having said that, on a week to week basis our favorite squad this week lines up as:
Aubameyang, Lukaku, Firmino
Sterling, Salah (c), Mikhitaryan, Arnautovic
Mustafi, Dummett, Valencia
Up top, we are opticing for Aubam, Lukaku, and Firms. Half the managers out there are seeing Arsenal players in our squad and are having a minor stroke. While true, they have been absolutely terrible with Wenger on his last charade, there have been over 2.5 goals scored in Arsenal’s last 6 home games AND Stoke have failed to win their last 10 away matches. Arsenal’s run of fixtures here could not be better. Lacazette returned to training during the international break though is not being considered as a real starter. Özil did not play midweek but is expected to be fit. Lukaku and Firm round out our two other strikers. Lukaku has been a conundrum for most. Starting real hot, he fizzled with United as the season went on. This week they play an ailing Swansea, who have Swansea have failed to win 12 of their last 13 away matches. Lukaku should be prime for the taking here as United have won 13 of their last 16 home matches and have scored over 2.5 goals scored in their last 3 games.
Firmino and Liverpool mosey on with the Salah show in full-force. Unstoppable as they are right now, they are still chasing second place. Liverpool are undefeated in 20 of their last 22 matches for the believers in F-O-R-M. Palace have been woeful, sitting one seat above relegation. Injury problems summarized: RLC – just coming back, Sakho doubtful, Zaha doubtful, Schlupp doubtful, Ward/Dann/Puncheon/Sako/Speroni/Wickham basically dead. This is a skeleton crew.
Our midfield here should speak for itself. Barring some injury concerns around Raheem, Salah (c), Mikhitaryan, Arnautovic, and Sterling are our favorites for this week. Defensively, we like the idea of focusing on United, City, Newcastle, Arsenal, and Liverpool (in that order).
