The most expensive asset in the game, a star striker returning to goal scoring form and a winger with a great set of stats and a perfect fixture… here are our gameweek 13 captain choices:
What may come as a shock to you, Harry Kane is one of our top captain picks. Transferred out by already 57,000 managers, Kane has not massively lived up to his £12.8m price tag yet. Averaging 6 points per game so far this season, Kane has taken 24 shots on target, scoring 8 times. The Spurs forward has missed 4 big chances already. 11 attempted assists is 1 a game, with just a single one of them coming off. Tottenham face West Bromwich at Wembley this Saturday, potentially a tricky fixture, but we are still rooting for Kane.
This week we have chosen Raheem Sterling as our differential option. Owned by 10.5% of players, and transferred out by 50,000+ this week, Sterling is still a fantastic captaincy option for gameweek 13. Almost as many points per game as his left-wing counterpart Leroy Sane (6.5-6.7), Sterling is scoring 0.7 goals a game on average. The Englishman also takes more shots, and more shots on target per game than Sane, and comes off of the back of a midweek goal, winning City the match.
Romelu Lukaku looks to be returning to his normal consistent self. A fixture versus Brighton is just perfect, as Man Utd will go for the win. 70 points, 8 goals and 3 assists this season, we couldn’t have asked more from him really. When he doesn’t score he generally assists, and is always a big threat in any situation. 15 attempted assists is over 1 a game, and as he could be linking up with that man Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he’ll be sure to continue his ways.
