Aguero, Lukaku and Lacazette…
Sergio Agüero clocked 9 points during gameweek 1, surprising considering he only managed to get off 2 shots, one of which on target. Last season he averaged 4.5 shots per game, and playing at home this gameweek, expect the Argentine to improve on last week. Only Sanchez managed more successful dribbles last season with 2.8 per game, Agüero with 2.6 per game. Costing £11.5million, his cheapest since 2011, Agüero could bring home plenty of points against Everton.
Lukaku scored two goals on his Man Utd debut against West Ham last week earning himself 3 bonus points, claiming his FPL owners 13 points, the most out of our 3 recommended captain options. Although he didn’t get any assists, he registered 3 attempted assists for his teammates. Lukaku boasts a 40% goal conversion rate heading into his fixture against Swansea this weekend. Lukaku rose in value over the week up to £11.6million.
Arsenal’s new signing Lacazette proved his worth against Leicester with a debut goal. 3 shots and 2 on target in his last game, his headed goal helped the gunners to a 4-3 win over Leicester City. Last week we saw 3 attempted assists for the Frenchmen, but all unsuccessful. He created one big chance for teammates, the same as Agüero but more than Lukaku. 21 passes and 2 crosses in his match against the Foxes, we could see an improved Lacazette when he plays versus Stoke City tomorrow. The possibility of penalty taking responsibilities is all the more reason to hand Lacazette the armband. He is currently valued at £10.5million, the cheapest of the three.
