With a top-four finish not yet confirmed, Jurgen Klopp is expected to name a strong starting XI for the trip to Chelsea. It’s in defence where the Reds boss has the most options in terms of being able to rotate following their Champions League visit to Rome. Ragnar Klavan is a viable alternative in central defence, while Alberto Moreno and Nathaniel Clyne provide different options in the full-back positions. However, Joe Gomez is again doubtful due to an arm injury. Elsewhere, injuries to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Emre Can and Adam Lallana mean that Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum are set to make up the midfield three. Similarly, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are surely poised to continue in attack, with Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke the back-up options. Joel Matip is a long-term absentee.
