The fact the Burnley clash is Arsene Wenger’s final home match in charge makes wholesale changes unlikely following the 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Europa League semi-final second leg. But the Gunners will be without Laurent Koscielny, who tore his Achilles in Spain. Calum Chambers could partner Shkodran Mustafi in central defence, then, with Rob Holding and Konstantinos Mavropanos the other options. Chambers also provides cover for Hector Bellerin at right-back, while Sead Kolasinac is a viable starter at left-back in place of Nacho Monreal. David Ospina has started the last four matches in goal, and may again be favoured over Petr Cech. Ainsley Maitland-Niles is the option if Wenger wants to introduce some fresh legs in midfield, with Aaron Ramsey’s start possibly the most at risk. Jack Wilshere was replaced after 68 minutes in Madrid, so he may start against the Clarets, with Mesut Ozil perhaps being left out after failing to start any of the last four league matches. Henrikh Mkhitaryan should start after only playing 22 minutes as a substitute on Thursday night, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will start after being ineligible to play in Europe. He could line up on the left if Alexandre Lacazette is chosen to lead the line, while Alex Iwobi and Danny Welbeck are viable options on the left if Aubameyang starts as the lone striker. Mohamed Elneny and Santi Cazorla remain sidelined.
Bellerin – Chambers – Mustafi – Monreal
Xhaka – Ramsey
Mkhitaryan – Ozil – Aubameyang
