After being held to a 1-1 draw by Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final, Arsene Wenger seems likely key men for the trip to Old Trafford. Laurent Koscielny looks set to sit out having only played one of the last five league matches. Aaron Ramsey is another who has previously been saved for European action, while should Wenger consider making wholesale changes, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette could also be at risk. Calum Chambers and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are possible options at full-back, though the latter could also be required in midfield given Mohamed Elneny’s absence. Rob Holding provides an alternative in central defence, with Sead Kolasinac a contender to start at left-back. Granit Xhaka, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck could still be included unless Wenger hands opportunities to the likes Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson. Alex Iwobi looks an assured starter after being an unused substitute on Thursday night, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should also get the nod in order to preserve Lacazette for the second leg in Madrid. Petr Cech should return in goal after being back on the bench in midweek following illness, with David Ospina Wenger’s first choice stopper for European matches. Henrikh Mkhitaryan (knee) is still a major doubt, while Santi Cazorla remains sidelined.
Holding – Chambers – Mustafi – Kolasinac
Xhaka – Maitland-Niles
Wilshere – Iwobi – Welbeck
