The Terriers have been dealt a blow with the news that Elias Kachunga will miss the rest of the season with the ankle injury he suffered in the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United. His replacement last weekend, Collin Quaner, will battle with Tom Ince to start on the right of the attacking midfield trio in David Wagner’s usual 4-2-3-1 formation against Brighton & Hove Albion. Laurent Depoitre was recalled as the lone striker at St James’ Park, but Steve Mounie could come back into the side, having scored twice against the Seagulls earlier this season. Philip Billing provides a different option in the middle of the park, but Terence Kongolo and Tommy Smith may retain their starts in the full-back positions after returning at Newcastle. Scott Malone and Florent Hadergjonaj are the alternatives. Michael Hefele and Danny Williams remain sidelined.
