Christian Benteke has emerged as a doubt ahead of the trip to Bournemouth after picking up a groin injury in training on Thursday. Eagles boss Roy Hodgson may be forced to use Wilfried Zaha as a lone striker should Benteke miss out if he deploys either a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 system. That could see Ruben Loftus-Cheek return to the starting XI in midfield. Alternatively, Andros Townsend could join Zaha up front in a 4-4-2, as he did earlier in the season, with Loftus-Cheek playing out wide. Jairo Riedewald and Lee Chung-yong provide other midfield options. Timothy Fosu-Mensah provides the main alternative at both right-back and centre-back for the Eagles, though James Tomkins is expected to return and could replace Martin Kelly. Joel Ward, Jeffrey Schlupp, Alexander Sorloth and Connor Wickham remain out, while Julian Speroni, Scott Dann, Jason Puncheon and Bakary Sako are all long-term absentees.
