Potters boss Paul Lambert will check on Kurt Zouma (knee) and Mame Biram Diouf (knock) ahead of the home meeting with Tottenham Hotspur. Zouma was able to train on Thursday, though, and is the more likely of the two to be available. But even if fit, Zouma could struggle to replace Bruno Martins Indi in central defence after the Potters boss praised his side’s rearguard performers at the Emirates last week. But Konstantinos Stafylidis is unlikely to be available after suffering a broken rib, with Erik Pieters set to continue at left-back. In attack, Saido Berahino and Peter Crouch provide the main alternatives to Diouf. Xherdan Shaqiri was deployed in a central support role in the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal, with Moritz Bauer stationed on the right side of midfield. The pair may line up in the same positions given the lack of viable alternatives, with Jese Rodriguez seemingly out of favour after not being named in the matchday squad against the Gunners. Geoff Cameron provides another option should Lambert look to play with an extra man in midfield. Lee Grant and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting remain out, while Charlie Adam serves the second of a three-match ban.
