Jordan Henderson suffered a dead leg in the goalless draw with FC Porto, but Jurgen Klopp stated the midfielder looked okay in training on Thursday, so he could be fit to face Manchester United. He and Emre Can appear sure starters in central midfield, with James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain battling it out for one spot unless Henderson is ruled out. Georginio Wijnaldum is on his way back to fitness following illness, but isn’t expected to be considered. Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane all played reduced minutes on Tuesday night and will surely start in attack at Old Trafford. Joe Gomez got 90 minutes under his belt in midweek, and provides a more defensive option to Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back. Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip both played the full 90 minutes against Porto, with the pair battling it out to join Virgil van Dijk in central defence. Andrew Robertson was left out on Tuesday night due to a minor issue but is expected to return at left-back, with Alberto Moreno providing cover. Nathaniel Clyne is back in light training but remains some way off a first-team return.
